Power and Protection is a multi-level visual art series reimagining our history as Filipino’s. From honouring the generations of ancestors who survived so that we could exist, to reflecting on cultural tradition made contemporary as an act of defiance and ownership of our own stories and spiritual practice, to the freedom from empire.
Together, these pieces reclaim historical and modern imagery to reclaim a Filipino lineage as if our souls could speak of the world we would live in had it not been interrupted by colonisation.
